Today was a LONG,HOT, SWEATY day! One I don't look forward to every year .... Field Day !!! But before I dwell on the negative, let me give my oldest son some Praise ! As many of you know , Ty hates school & it is a Big struggle for him.( I hate to say but he got the worst of Tyler & myself when it comes to school) This past 9 weeks was tough on him, but I am proud to say he passed all his classes, did so very well on his exams & is now a Junior in High School. All that fighting, yelling & arguing paid off when I made him sit down & study! I'm proud of you Ty !
Now to miserable Field Day ! I think I sweated at least 10 pounds off. There has got to be a better way to do field day. Sit, wait & sweat your ass off day, is what it should be called ! As soon as tug of war was over, I was packing up & telling kids to get out from under my canopy so I could get my mess together & get out of there ! Miserable ! Cameron & myself got home & took COLD showers outside. ( separate of course) Drained is how we both feel ! Gonna lay down in the AC now & maybe a Lil nap too ! 5 more days of school !
Sweat and fuss all you want....one day you will savor these sweet memories. They are children for only a short time!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that Ty did not pick his parents best traits for school but is a necessary part of life. I am so pleased that he completed his 10th grade task. He is a special young man and I am proud of him.
