Happy Birthday to my Momma ! Went to my sisters Robin's house to celebrate hers & my sister n law, Caroles birthday that was Tuesday. Enjoyed spending time with my family & glad to see my Mom be able to celebrate another year. Thanks Robin for the delish dinner!

Burrrrr. It's cold & I dislike cold weather. Subbed for 2nd grade today. Had a good day ! Ready for the weekend. It suppose to beautiful !

Thanksgiving #2

Tyler & I decided to have my parents up for a Thanksgiving meal. Things were a little different around here on Thanksgiving & they ended up eating at the Golden Corral. So I decided I would brave the unknown of making a feast. I am happy to say I did it & it was good too! My parents were surprised & grateful because my Mom said she had a horrible Thanksgiving & my Dad said it was definitely different. They were also surprised to see I had set the table with their old china. We had a good time !

Movie Day

For the past couple of years we have been going to the movies the day after Thanksgiving. (If we're home.) Today we headed out this afternoon with Dale, Carole , Jeremy, Cheryl, Allison, Tyler , Cameron & myself. The girls went to see Breaking Dawn 2 & the men & Allison went to see Lincoln.  Breaking Dawn was ok ... it was good but a little cheesy, but hasn't all the other ones been too. Tyler & Cameron both said they liked Lincoln. From what I heard Dale did too... he slept thru most of it!  It was a good time & love laughing & spending time with my family !

 

                           

Happy Thanksgiving !

Home from Garner & had a great Thanksgiving. Enjoyed our time there. Started breakfast off at Tyler's Dads & Mary's house. It was yummy, thank you Mary for all your hard work. Then to see Tyler's grandma & then back to Granny's house to prepare for our feast ! It was good & after I made the mistake this morning by getting on the scales, I didn't over eat. Thanks Granny for the delicious Thanksgiving meal,it was so good ! Toni, Ty & myself even braved Wal Mart for the 8pm sale, then headed home.

Ashley, Seth ,Olivia & Colin you were missed !

Last tree is done. Got Ty's tree up today. I love his tree. It has all his ornament on it & the ones he made in school. I remember each one of them when I pulled them out. I still got a few things to tweek but for the most part everything is done on the inside. Hopefully get the outside done this weekend, along with Christmas pictures.

                                   

We've had a busy weekend .  Last night had oyster & crab legs with The Gang ! Them crab legs were good! I don't eat oysters but everyone else said they were good. First time Cameron got to the table to shuck his own.

                                                           

Had to leave early because Erin & I were on a mission to claim our spot in Wal Mart for a Christmas present! Got there, & we were #'s 2 & 3. An hour & half later we were told only 7 were available & we were one of the 7. Oh the things Santa has to go thru ! You'll have to wait to find out what it was but we were happy Mommas ! 

Then I wake up to this ......

                                               

I looked at Tyler & said " What the jimmy jack happened to that !" He said, "I didn't touch it. "
I just left the room & said I'd deal with it later!

We had to get dressed & leave for Lil Cleve's bday party at the aquarium . Did I miss something about the weather ? It was like a hurricane ! We made it there & it was so worth getting out in the weather. We had a good time. Thanks for inviting us.

So back home & back to the tree....  I thought to myself it has to be a fuse, so I just started with the first plug & Praise the Lord it was the first plug, so we are fully lit again ! Shew ! I did not want to re string that tree !

Have a good week ! Only 2 days of school & then Thanksgiving ! Wow ! Thanksgiving !!!! Really ??!!

It looks like Christmas at the Poole house ! Got up this morning & decided to get it done because I'm not sure I have another weekend free to do it & I have to have Tyler's help . Three trees done, nativity & christmas village done too.

I think my candy tree is probably my favorite. These ornaments were my parents. One of my favorite trees we had growing up was when my Daddy would flock a tree & then put these sugared candy ornaments on it . It was so pretty !

This tree is Cameron's. He did't want one in his room this year so we put it on the back porch. Not quite through with it yet .

Got a few more things to do. Got to put Ty's tree up. Will post more later. For now gonna sit & nurse this cold I have cause all this dust sure didn't help me . 

Every Friday after school Cameron gets to stop at McDonalds & get a milkshake or smoothie. I'm not an ice cream person so it's easy for me to pass up. Today he tried the egg nog milkshake. I tasted it & it was So Good ! Cameron loved it ! I also noticed the fine print saying it had 680 calories too !

Subbed again today for Cameron's class. Had a good day.
So I am loving the seasonal food & I really don't need them. Found some chocolate cover Ritz. Yum ! Perfect combo of sweet & salty! I really need to be eating these too but they are gone now because Ty tore them up !

More tomorrow ......

A cold dreary rainy day .  Doing my devotional today & it was on friendships. I guess you learn with age how to deal with things better. I can tell you this summer I had to give some things that truly bothered me over to the Lord. Tyler would come home & have to hear or see me crying but I always heard in a small voice say "let it go." Once I finally let it go, I feel totally at peace. Does it mean I don't care or done ? No, just means I'm no longer consuming myself with worry. I would like to think I am a pretty good friend but sometimes life gets in the way, people change & well, people do what they want to do.  For myself I'm not gonna keep score, I'm just gonna do the right thing & I'll be able to live with that knowing I wasn't the reason. Often times people assume too much as to what's going on in ones life, believe hearsay or new friendships evolve. I have seen one too many times friendships ruined & one or the other party have no idea what happened. I have seen people let their children dictate their friendships because of something a child has told them. I have always been taught there is two sides to a story, never believe ones side unless like I tell my boys "Did you see it with your own eyes ?" And other times watch a friendship slowly go away, which I think are probably the most hurtful. I cherish my friendships. I have lots of friends. I still have relationships with my friends from childhood, but in honesty I can really count my true friends on one hand.

Beautiful warm Sunday ! Tyler took a ride on the boat & I took a loong nap ! Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning !

Go State !

Headed to Raleigh today for the State, Wake Forest football game. Rode up & tailgated with our friends the Veltovens & for my nephew Jeremy to meet up with us. We had a good time! State won 37 - 6! Thanks Jeremy for the tickets & thanks Veltovens for the upgrade. We had a good time & enjoyed our time together!

Let me just brag on my babies .... 

So those that are close to me know Ty's struggle's with school. Him passing anything is like honor roll to us! He pulled it off passed everything with the exception of Spanish2 but it wasn't too bad & I have full confidence he will pass it in the end. Good job Ty , I know how hard you have to work & I'm proud of you !

This lil fella made straight A's !!!! Some of his grade were even 100's or 1 or 2 points from being 100's. He was so pumped up & excited !!! He works hard & stresses & hard on himself too much about making the grades. He did it though & I am so proud of him ! 

Sometimes there are these rare moments that I just sit back & watch. Today was one. My boys rarely play together, one because of age difference & two they argue & fight like wild animals. So I was surprised to see Ty take an interest in seeing what Mine Craft was about , a game Cameron plays ALL the time. For over an hour I sat & watched Cameron show Ty how to play & them sitting there playing, laughing  & carrying on. Ty kept saying this game is really fun.  Made this Momma's heart smile. Even texted Tyler the pics. Precious. Had a good afternoon until ..... we went to Wal Mart  & let them two walk off, only to find out they had been kicked out of Wal Mart ! Yea .... my sweet moment of my boys was short lived !
