Hot !

Shew wee ! It was HOT today ! Cameron had a birthday party from 11 to 2. We didn't head out on the boat till after 3:30. Stayed out till 10 because of fireworks being on the waterway tonight at some people's houses. There is nothing like watching fireworks over the water. It is the best ! Being able to watch the sunset over the water is pretty awesome too.

 

Home!

We made it home from Myrtle Beach. Ty had to be home for work so we had to come back a little early. We had a Great time as usual ! Thanks Granny for sharing your vacation with us again !

 

Belly Flopping

I forgot to mention in yesterday's post that Cameron entered the Belly Flop contest at the pool yesterday. He didn't win , but we enjoyed watching him !

 

 

Ultimate Pool Party

Today was the pool party by the big pool. Previous years, we hardly got any chairs but this year I was gonna get us some good seats. It started at 12, so I went out about 8:15 to save some chairs. Got there & there was only about 10 chairs left & in the shade. It has been chilly here for past 2 days so the shade was not in my plan but didn't have a choice. There were some people already sitting out & I asked one lady what time she came down. She said 7:45 & there was hardly any chairs left then. What ??!! Crazy ! Anyway ... We always enjoy sitting watching people making fools of themselves . Good music , lots of singing & lots of laughs !

 

 

 

Pizza Time

Our new tradition when we come to the beach now is to go to Kings Pizza. Last year was our first trip. I had always seen it but thought it was old nasty place, until I looked it up . It is a family business that has been open for over 32 years & it is yummy ! You've got to try it if you come this way !

We made it to Myrtle Beach ! Day started out rushed. Left the house with Ty & Sarah following in my car behind us. By the time we got to Leland, Tyler had to pull over cause I needed to take a nerve pill, because I was a nervous wreck with him driving. We made it & he did fine, shew !

 

 

Bananas

I have seen green bananas before but I have never EVER seen neon green bananas. Had to take a pic ! Tyelr & I were sitting back laughing watching people look at them & pick them up !

Praying for Kimberly

Saturday night , I went to a prayer vigil for Kimberly. The family received news that one of the blood clots was now basically covering the left side of her brain. It was awesome to see so many show up for this girl. We stood in a circle , holding hands & one by one prayers were said for her & her family. Please continue to pray for her. Once again I am proud to live in this community ! Miracles can happen !

 

 

Happy Fathers Day

For the first time ever, we had Fathers Day lunch at our house. I got up early to clean & started preparing food. Thought grilling pizzas would be easy & everyone could do what they liked. Well 15+ pizzas was a lot, & poor Tyler had to stand over the grill, hot & sweating . Felt bad , it being Fathers day & he was cooking. Everything turned out good & we were able to sit out on the porch. Blessed that I still have my Father & thankful. After all he loves me the most ;) !

Where's the Ark ?

Good gracious , it has poured today ! I was wondering when the Ark was gonna come floating by. The boys & I had to go to Burgaw today, to sign my paper work for substitute teaching for next year. I have never been to Board of Education. Ty drove & as the GPS was telling us destination up ahead, all I could see was a prison ! The building was across the street from the prison & old. I surely hope they pay their staff well because that building was so old , it cant have a payment on it ! I thought I had to just sign some papers , but ended up having take some test. As I was sitting there I couldn't help but wonder if people got sick a lot from working in there & I just knew I was breathing abestos. Boys were waiting & hungry in the car, so I hurried. I passed my test too, in case you were wondering. They then gave me directions to a place where I had to get a drug test. Still haven't ate, get there & I knew I was in trouble when all across the windows was warnings that that clinic no longer writes prescriptions for narcotics. Walked in & my lord the smell was , I can't describe , but I wanted a shower immediately ! Checked in by the pleasant (not) lady , only for her to tell in her same pleasant voice " it will be awhile, u gonna have to wait ." I could feel my chest breaking out & asked how long ? She said " a while , all them people in front of you." Great ! I smiled & told her I would wait outside, looking for some sanitizer on the way out. Went & told the boys to go get something to eat & as Ty drove off, I realize I've left my phone in the car & have the directions in my wallet. So I stand & pace for almost & hour outside, watching the sky get darker & feeling my hair curling & getting frizzy from the humidity! Finally the nurse opens the door & I didn't give her a hey how you doing look . Followed her back & had to pee in cup . She then told me not flush or wash my hands when I was done & bring it to her. Ahh yuck ! How many other people did that & opened that door. I know I pissed on my hand , you know someone else open the door with their pissy hand ! OMG ! Im dying ! She had to seal it & everything before I could wash my hands. Needless to say I scrub them good & wanted to crawl in the sink & wash all over. So got done & went out to see if Ty was back & nope he wasn't so , I'm panicking & knew he was lost or wrecked my car. Right when I walked out the door it started to pour & a man was waiting for it to slack up to get to his car. He asked if I was alright & told him I was waiting on my son & he said "you don't live around here do you?" I told him"No". I wonder what gave it away, that I had all my teeth or I actually dressed & brushed my hair ? Inside I went to ask to use the phone & they looked at me like, where's your phone ? So I explained & they told me they usually don't let the public use the phone. I guess they were scared they were gonna catch something from ME ! Sure enough , Ty was lost , gave him the address , thanked the lady for letting me use the phone & back out I went ! My new buddy was still waiting for the rain to slack up. So here comes Ty & I tell him to let me drive. There was no way my nerves could take him driving in the pouring rain. I am about to starve & he got me two chicken snackers from KFC & a coke. I am thankful he got me something but the bread on them snackers were left out for a week. Every time I bit it, it looked like I was eating a crackers. My shirt & skirt was covered in crumbs ! Threw half of it out. So we headed home in the pouring rain , got our errands done & back home we went. Stripped my clothes off & washed good . Still pouring rain at 8:00. Let's just say once again I am thankful !

Sunday , whew ! Ty's truck broke , parking lights & brake lights & car dinging, won't cut off. Finally just disconnected battery. Tyler tried to take to get looked at but the guy didn't have the equipment needed, so back home. Trying to finish up on the porch this week. Tyler went to Lowes to get the rest of wood & somehow punctured 3 tires on his truck. He's calling me saying he's changing a tire on 40 which scared me . Made to Costco & they didn't have them, nor Walmart . Called Sears & they had them . Came home at almost 6 . Then we had to go get the wood, LOL! Out we went & back home, to deal with the truck, wash clothes, iron & get packed up to head to Norfolk. Truck still not fixed. Tyler was done, & did not come in till after 9. I know he's glad to be away ! Seems like everything around here is breaking , but things could be worse & you just have to laugh & find the joy in it all !

We went to our new Whole Foods last night. I have to say I was not impressed & it was expensive. The parking lot was packed & once we got in there we figured it out. Everyone was in there eating from the food bar & bakery. The food looked good & I told Cameron we would come back for lunch one day. The grocery store part was expensive. I don't know why people would buy groceries from there? I'm looking forward to Trader Joes, that's more of my price range. They have broke ground on it & starting with the cinder block walls!

Another year gone !

Today was the last day for Cameron. Ty has not been to school since last week. Cameron had awards & end of year party. Let me just say ... It was hot as satans toenail in school ! Whew ! The principal said the air had broke. Thank goodness it was the last day of school , my word , it was hot ! Cameron did well getting his awards & I can't remember them all but he did good. Can't believe my baby will be having his last year at elementary school in the fall. Makes me sad ! We got some things planned this summer & looking forward to our vacations . Hope summer doesn't go by too fast !

 

 

Fighting for Kimberly

I would like to ask for you to prayer for this young girl in our community that is fighting for her life ! We live in a small community & we all know of each other , I don't know them on a personal level. Kimberly is 12 or maybe 13 now , that has been diagnosed with a very rare Cancer. All of this came about the beginning of the year. She has been back n fourth to UNC & she is now back there battling blood clots. Please keep her , her mother, Shona & her family in your prayers. My heart is really heavy for this family & pray for this sweet girl many times a day. There is a Facebook page that you can follow their journey, Fighting for Kimberly. Join it & let them kow your praying for them as well. There has been many fundraisers for her & I have never been so proud of my Lil coummunity as I am now for stepping up & supporting this family. It has been very heart warming. One of the ways they are raising money is decals & Kimberly helped design it & she put Jeremiah 29:11 as her verse. Please keep this girl in your prayers.

Venus Transit

Did you know today, when the sun starts to set, you will be able to see Venus go between the Earth & the sun? It should be visible around 6:04 pm but it is raining here. According to wunderground, rain & 61% of cloud cover , so taking the boys to the beach this evening to watch it looks like a wash ! I was looking forward to it. I love stuff like this , I know your shocked , but I follow all the NASA stuff on Facebook & even know when big solar flares are happening . Space & galaxies fascinate me . I guess I got this from my Daddy. He has always wanted to see the space shuttle launch & said he would go if he could. He always knew when meteor showers were & we would watch them. One time when was about 12 years old , my brother , Dale, got Saturn on a telescope that was my grandads. Now that was really cool ! I love riding the boat at night, because it is so dark on the water & you can see everything ! Every year we stop & sit & see shooting stars .Maybe the weather will give way so we might get a glimpse. The next time this will occur is in December 2117 & 2125. I don't think I'll be around, unless I live to be 145 !

 

Finished

I finished reading the book. It was a sex novel for sure ! I didn't really get all the hype over it though. Not sure if I will read the others or not . Put it this way, all this hype & women worked up over this book, well, I guess I'm thankful for what I have , I better leave it a that ! ;)
